The Jacobs
In business since 1899, few businesses can boast of lasting more than a century. The fourth generation of Jacobs in business are Christian, Guy and Louis, the current managers of Meubles Jacob. They took over from their father Gilbert in 1996, transforming the family store into the region's leading furniture retailer. In 2005, the Jacob brothers decided to set up shop in Saint-Tite, in larger, more modern and more accessible premises.
In 2013, they acquired Meubles Boisvert in Shawinigan to offer a second Meubles Jacob store to customers in Shawinigan and the surrounding area. As you can see, the Jacobs have been merchants and entrepreneurs at heart for over a century. Their successes, particularly in the furniture business, have forged a reputation for excellence that extends throughout the region. But the Meubles Jacob story isn't over yet. The fifth generation is already taking shape, with Christian's daughter Gabrielle playing an ever-increasing role in the family business. We haven't finished telling the Jacob story.
